Trans Reading Challenge Year 2 (2025):
I created the Trans Reading Challenge in 2024, but I revamped the whole reading challenge for 2025! There are 10 main prompts and 10 bonus prompts. To complete the challenge, read however many books you want to! I don’t have a limit on how many you should read. Pick whatever books you want!
10 Main Prompts
1. A book with a trans boy/man main character
2. A book with a trans girl/woman main character
3. A book with a nonbinary main character
4. A book with a BIPOC trans main character by a BIPOC trans author
5. A book with a BIPOC trans main character by a BIPOC trans author
6. A book with a BIPOC trans main character by a BIPOC trans author
7. A book with a BIPOC trans main character by a BIPOC trans author
8. A book with a disabled trans main character
9. A general nonfiction about trans people, trans history, etc. (any nonfiction that is not a memoir)
10. A memoir by a trans person
10 Bonus Prompts
1. A poetry collection by a trans author
2. A book with a T4T romance
3. A book with a trans main character OR a trans nonfiction that is on a banned book list
4. A book with a trans queer boy/man main character
5. A book with a trans queer girl/woman main character
6. A book with a trans ace or aro main character
7. A graphic novel with a trans main character
8. A book with a trans main character that is by an Indie author (self-published)
9. Read a book with a trans main character from a genre you usually don’t pick up (if you’re like me and read basically all genres, pick the genre you read the least of; for me, that’s thriller or horror)
10. A book with a trans main character or a trans nonfiction that has a title that starts with the first letter of your name (this can be any name of yours, including nicknames. For me, I can pick R, H, or C). Books that start with The or A also do count!

If there is a book on the list that is the first book of a series you’ve read before this year and don’t want to reread, the sequel can count. If it’s a standalone, you CAN’T replace it with a different book.
